NRMN will have an official presence at the 2016 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Scientists (ABRCMS).
Attendees will be able to visit NRMN staff at booth #620 of the ABRCMS conference hall, where they’ll be able to learn more about NRMN’s programming, upcoming opportunities, and resources, as well as to join NRMN by setting up an account on the NRMNet.net website.
During the conference NRMN’s Dr. Jamboor Vishwanatha will be hosting an official session entitled Bringing Mentees and Mentors together in a National Mentoring Network, designed to introduce attendees to NRMN.
As a result of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of mentoring, networking and professional development in preparing for a science career
- Gain knowledge of resources available for mentees and mentors through NRMN
- Learn about partnership opportunities with NRMN
- Provide prospective mentors and mentees an opportunity to participate in the program
