To qualify to be recognized as an NRMN Master Mentor, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be registered as a mentor on NRMNet.net
- Have completed viewing the appropriate online training materials
- Have completed at least three 4-month mentorship experiences with a mentee within the NRMN MyMentor platform
- Demonstrate evidence of long-term (10-year) commitment to mentoring under served, under represented groups in basic biomedical and behavioral research
Your application will ask for the following information:
- Personal and contact information
- Numbers of individuals in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences, that you have mentored
- Number of your mentees to date from groups identified as underrepresented individuals in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences
- Name and address of institutional or society official whom NRMN should inform regarding your recognition
- A 250-word summary of mentor related activities that form the basis of your application (Uploaded document)
- Two letters from previous mentees demonstrating excellence in the mentorship skills of the mentor (Uploaded documents; application provides detailed suggestions for letter content)
- Your 3-page CV, with personal statement reflecting mentoring history, courses taken, courses taught, papers/presentations with students, and mentor awards/other recognition related to mentoring (Uploaded document)
