Happy New Year, NRMN community! 2022 is officially here and the MyNRMN team is excited to start rolling out new features and enhancements throughout the entire year! We can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for MyNRMN. This month, we want to remind you about MyMentor and its benefits. We also don’t want you to forget about the request mentoring feature you can utilize to make connections. Lastly, the MyNRMN team has added a new way you can register to MyNRMN. MyMentor
MyMentor is NRMN’s signature one-on-one guided virtual mentoring platform where mentees and mentors connect in a long-term mentorship. To help facilitate the mentoring connection, each dyad receives a series of 19 discussion prompts to guide them through the course of the connection. These prompts focus on culturally aware topics such as aligning expectations, being the ‘other’ in an environment, and rebounding from failure (just to name a few). These connections typically last 4-5 months, but the timeline and duration are completely customizable to meet the needs of each mentee and mentor. Request Mentoring Feature
With the new year starting, take advantage of the 21,000+ members within MyNRMN! This is your time to connect and start building relationships. Using the request mentoring feature can help you get started. Once you click on the request mentoring button, you will be led to the find a mentor page. This is a tool used to establish one-on-one mentorship with mentors in the MyNRMN community. Once there, you will be able to upload your resume and send a message to the mentor you have selected.
Register with Twitter Account
Calling all Twitter users! We have an exciting new way to register. You can now use your Twitter account to register for MyNRMN. Head over to my.nrmnet.net and under the “Register Now” section, you can click on the Twitter icon to get started.
