The Fall Semester is starting and everyone’s schedules are filling up fast! For many, once the semester gets started, time is a luxury on par with a vacation to space. It’s for this reason that the MyNRMN Team has been hard at work making the resource easier to use and with faster speeds. In early August we launched a simplified user interface, upgraded our servers, and we’re even on the cusp of launching a bulk-upload tool for our new Jobs & Internships Board.

New MyNRMN User Interface
The MyNRMN interface previously featured a panel on the left side of the page which contained links to all the resources within the platform. However, over the years, the MyNRMN team worked to enhance and expand the resources, resulting in a list that grew beyond the page. We took this as a sign to upgrade the look and feel of MyNRMN! Now, when a mentee or mentor logs into MyNRMN, they will see a menu at the top of their screen linking out to the resources. Within each resource, the menu will change to display related features and resources. However, regardless of which resource the mentee or mentor is using, they can always click the MyNRMN logo to be redirected back to their dashboard. All of the features within MyNRMN still operate the same, but if you would like any assistance navigating the new interface, send a request to info@nrmnet.net and we would be happy to help!
Faster Speeds
The NRMN network is growing! We are steadfastly approaching a 20,000+ member network and we are going to continue to aid this growth with new resources, features, and content. However, we also want to make sure that we keep up with the expansion and continue to provide a quick platform that can host all our members at once. To do this we have upgraded to an app server that can be quickly scaled up as our growth continues. This method will also enable us to upgrade individual features and resources within the platform without the need to update everything, which can cause extra downtime. It is our goal to continue these upgrades to ensure that our community always has a reliable outlet for their mentoring and networking needs.
Coming Soon: Jobs & Internships Board Bulk Upload
This spring we launched the Jobs & Internships Board and we are going to continue rolling out new enhancements within this feature to meet the needs of our users! Many of our partners maintain their own job boards and we want to help them share their opportunities with our network. To make it easier to share multiple opportunities at a time, we are building a bulk upload feature into our Jobs & Internships Board. This feature will be available soon and we’ll make sure to share this opportunity with all of you once it’s available!
