NRMN Training Programs for Mentors
Are you a mentor looking for opportunities to improve your practice? The below training program options are designed to build on your existing mentoring skills to help you improve your relationship with your mentees.
All NRMN programs are available to individuals regardless of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.
Asynchronous Online Mentor Training
Gain knowledge and skills in evidence-based mentoring practices by participating in asynchronous, self-paced online mentor training. This training is designed for mentors working with more advanced mentees, including graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty. Content is organized into five modules that cover mentoring models, mentor roles and responsibilities, structure and dynamics of the mentoring relationship, and strategies for facilitating and addressing challenges to the mentoring process.

The National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) seeks to develop a national network of trained coaches who are committed to providing intensive guidance in proposal writing and related areas of professional development to researchers from diverse backgrounds (postdocs and/or junior faculty) in the biomedical or biobehavioral sciences.
