January 24, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Building Your Own Research Program hosted by iBiology
Tune in at 5pm Eastern, 2pm Pacific this evening as guest panelists Cynthia Warrick, Steve Sosland, and Upender Manne discuss the process of establishing one’s own research program.
The main goal of this Hangout is to discuss strategies to help trainees interested in becoming principal investigators (PIs) build their own research programs. The primary audience for this Q&A is postdocs, but the discussion will also touch upon what graduate students can do to make sure they are on track to eventually make the leap to research independence.
The intended audience for the Hangout are primarily postdocs and senior graduate students. Advisors of researchers at these levels are welcome to attend, and encouraged to share with their mentees.
