By May 3, 2021No Comments

Mentoring is essential to improving the success of underrepresented scientists. Join us on Monday October 5th, 2015 to talk about culturally responsive mentoring and the importance of taking into account diverse cultural experiences to establish more effective mentoring relationships. Our esteemed panel of experts will discuss culturally responsive mentoring, why it matters and how it can help diversify the U.S. biomedical workforce.

This live online Q&A will feature Dr. Angela Byars-Winston of the University of Wisconsin-Madison; Dr. Kenneth Gibbs, Jr. of the National Cancer Institute; Dr. Joel Oppenheim of New York University; and Dr. Sonia Zárate of the University of San Diego. The event will be moderated by Dr. Mónica I. Feliú-Mójer, Science Outreach Program Manager for iBiology and Vice-Director for Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR).
