Amy Prunuske, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Central Wisconsin. Dr. Prunuske is the Faculty Curriculum Program Manager and the Course Director for the Physician in the Community (PIC) Course. As part of PIC, the medical students complete a 2-year scholarly research project with a community mentor. Her research areas are diverse including Lyme disease, educational innovations, and mentoring students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine. She is involved in developing the Optimizing the Practice of Mentoring online course and has served as a Master Facilitator since 2014.
