Facilitating Entering Research Workshop @ University of Wisconsin-Madison

This train-the-trainer workshop is designed to support your efforts in implementing research mentee training that strengthens productive research mentoring relationships with diverse mentees.
Participants will learn about Entering Research, a mentee training curriculum designed for undergraduate and graduate trainees who are involved in a mentored research experience.
Participants will learn evidence-based approaches to mentee training and gain the knowledge, confidence, and facilitation skills needed to design and implement training at their institutions. Participants will build their own custom curriculum based on the needs of their trainees by selecting from over 90 activities that address a variety of areas of trainee development, including research skills, interpersonal skills, research attitudes and beliefs, cultural awareness and skills, and professional and career development skills.
Participants are…
- Faculty, postdoctoral fellows, instructors, staff, or administrators from colleges, universities, and academic health centers
- Committed to implementing mentee training courses, seminars, or workshops for undergraduate or graduate trainees at their institution or organization. Note: Participants must submit as part of their application a letter of support from their dean or department chair indicating institutional support for your planned mentee training implementation.
